“Who’s weaker than the unborn? Who’s more voiceless than the unborn? No one.” –Matt Chandler
All life is precious, both inside and outside of the womb. Throughout scripture, we see that life is sacred because we have been made in the image of God, and that God is the one who created life. He created us, He knows us, and He is the one who continues to sustain us. That is why all life is precious to God.
The Author of LIFE
Consider the following verses from Psalms 139:
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed (Psalm 139:13-16, NLT).
Notice the words chosen to illustrate the profound event that happens as life is created and formed in the womb: “knit … complex … workmanship … woven.” This Psalm shows that the creation of life is intentional, profound, and holy.
